Opportunities
Research at the Integrated Telecommunication and Sensing Systems Lab at KAUST demands a combination of creative thinking, technical expertise, and a strong work ethic. While a background in electrical engineering is preferred, the interdisciplinary nature of our research encourages applications from individuals with expertise in computer engineering, physics, materials science, nanoengineering, and related fields who are passionate about advancing wireless communication and sensing technologies.
We are actively seeking talented individuals for the following positions:
- Undergraduate Students: Opportunities are available for summer internships.
- Graduate Students: Openings are available at both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.
- Postdoctoral Researchers: Applicants are encouraged to include a detailed CV and a list of references when applying.

For student applicants
We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate or master graduates with an academic background in optoelectronics, physics, material science, or other related areas. Successful applicants will be offered a full-time scholarship.
This includes your:

- Monthly Living Allowance
- For students from Europe and North America, successful applicants with KAUST Discovery Doctoral Fellowship receive a generous package worth approximately USD 95,000 per year (https://admissions.kaust.edu.sa/Discovery_Fellowship.html).
For postdoctoral fellow applicants
The applicants are expected to have a solid publication record, capacity for teamwork and leadership, and strong experimental and/or theoretical background in semiconductor design and devices. The salary for postdoctoral fellows is extremely competitive and is commensurate with the applicant's qualifications and experience. Successful applicants will also receive attractivecompensation and benefit packages provided by KAUST, including:
- Fully furnished housing free (up to a 2 bed-roomed townhouse)
- Free education at KAUST schools for the children
